Even in the house of nobility, came an insecurity. Noctis, fell in love with Alexandria's new Queen,Garnet, but he was just a rich noble who happened to be the General of Alexandria's army, he had no royalty within his title. It all started on the battlefield. War broke out in Alexandria, and created havoc.Noctis, the General of Alexandria's army, defended the kingdom with great strength. Through the crowd of soldiers and running civilians, he saw a hooded girl who, stood up after defeating a few soldiers. He never saw such a woman before in his life. He did see her face, and was astonished by her beauty. but he thought all of that as he fought soldiers. The woman, dressed like a peasant, took off her hood and began holding her necklace. Noctis watched as it lit up. Suddenly there were wings coming out of the great castle, and it defeated all of the soldiers at once. Noctis looked around, shocked,shaken and a bit clueless. He grinned and looked back at the girl, but she was gone. Days passed and everyone mourned the death of their Queen Brahne. But the ceremony for a New Queen was quickly starting.Noctis was dressed up in a pretty nice suit for his stature and went inside the palace. The crowning of the new queen was something worth seeing. After all, he was the one who had to protect her and he never saw who the princess was.Everyone was talking, partying.Noctis went upstairs to get away from all that.Just then he saw a girl in a white dress which was beautifully designed and looked too expensive for any noble. He thought, this had to be Garnet. he only saw her thick brown hair as he walked. He wanted to see what she looked like, but didn't want to make it obvious. The woman turned around and smiled at him. Noctis stopped and stared at her face..it couldn't be? The warrior that saved him and Alexandria was right before his eyes and it was..the princess?! Noctis was in denial, it couldn't of been her! But her face..she looked just like her! Noctis turned and walked away, full of confusion and most of all, he felt shy. The only way he would know if the warrior was Garnet..and that would be at the Crowning ceremony. Hours later, the crowd cheered and fire works went off as Garnet became Queen..Noctis stared at her..he couldn't believe it..The new queen was the warrior..he couldn't get off of his mind.

PRESENT: Days went by, and he couldn't stop thinking about her. But he knew he couldn't be with her, not tomorrow, not next year, not EVER! Everything about her was beautiful. But every time Noctis was around her, she never glanced at him like she did at the party. He felt invisible to her, and it broke him inside. He was so close..yet she was so far away.One morning, Noctis wandered around, and then heard beautiful singing..he followed the voice and he found Garnet, singing to the birds..she turned and looked at him, embarrassed that she was caught, and confused on why he was in front of her..Garnet didn't know what to say or do, so she looked away at the pigeons, who were flying away. Noctis turned and walked away. He felt such emptiness in his heart. he visited the only place Garnet recognized his presence..he stood there..suddenly he felt someone's presence and saw Garnet standing there with the cloths she wore at the battle..just without the hood..Noctis stared at her, confused and shocked. Garnet smiled at him and told him that she has been waiting for a moment alone with him. The last time they were at that spot, Noctis just walked away. Garnet knows he was the brave soldier who fought with skill, and she knew that he knew about her fighting beside everyone else. in a few more moments, Noctis started talking and smiling as if they had been friends for a long time. Whenever they got time alone now, they would talk and hang out..Noctis, without a doubt was madly in love with Garnet. But thought of her being a Queen never ran through his mind again, only if she had liked him back.
One day, Garnet wanted to go outside for a walk around town, Noctis had to come and act as her protector and that was it. He followed behind.. As He became lost in a daze from staring at the people, Garnet rushed into his arms and held him..Noctis was highly confused and scared on what he should do..Everyone started looking..But Garnet just looked within his eyes..she said that she could no longer hide her feelings for him, and didn't care whether or not she was queen. so she wanted to show her people that she had chose Noctis, a mere general. But the people happily accepted it. Everyone had liked him for saving the kingdom countless times and began to clap. Garnet rushed her head into his shoulder and hugged him tightly, with a smile on her face..Noctis smiled..and ran his hand down her beautiful soft hair.
